Executive Director

James L. Simmons

As Executive Director, James has worked tirelessly to build strong, honest and successful relationships with development partners. Because of his experience in housing and development, James was appointed by the Mayor, and served as a Board Commissioner for the Yonkers Municipal Housing Authority for a five year term.

James has created and operated work training programs for community residents that allow them to engage in the redevelopment of their communities. He has established relationships with various federal, state and local agencies that have assisted his organization with loans, grants and letters of support.

As Executive Director of C.U.R.E., James is hands-on in the C.U.R.E. operation, performing duties that incorporate administrative and financial management. He has successfully led C.U.R.E. in becoming a respected Affordable Housing Organization in Westchester County, and continues empowering communities by leading his organization, whose mission remains to provide clean, and safe affordable housing for residents in inner city urban areas.
